Paducah, Kentucky hosts the first ever Mustang Madness, a weekend long showcase basketball tournament starting this afternoon.
The competition features some of the best teams in the DigitalSports National Basketball Rankings including top ranked Montverde, No. 3 Our Savior New American, and No. 6 Sunrise Christian.
The most highly anticipated games are No. 48 DeMatha facing No. 79 Bishop O’Connell on Thursday, No. 9 Prime Prep challenging Sunrise Christian on Friday, and Montverde taking on Oak Ridge on Saturday.
A high-level tournament at this level is sure to draw a lot of attention from college scouts. Nine University of Kentucky recruits are playing, along with various recruits from schools such as the University of Kansas and Southern Methodist University.
These games are set to be some of the most exciting of the season. Teams are looking to upset those above them in the rankings and assert themselves over those below.
